This glorious drama tells the story of Robert Gould Shaw (played by Matthew Broderick), who leads the U.S. Civil War's first all-black volunteer regiment. The men of the 54th Massachusetts's fought prejudices from their own Union Army, as well as the Confederates.
Denzel Washington portrays Pvt. Trip and the role of Sgt. Maj. John Rawlins is performed by Morgan Freeman.
