The Desert Art Festival returns to The River at Rancho Mirage with artists displaying their original work in all mediums of fine art and fine craft on Thanksgiving Weekend.
The Desert Art Festival will celebrate its 34th year in the Coachella Valley with 100 artists from throughout the United States displaying their own original work. The event will be held at The River in Rancho Mirage.
Featured artists will include Richard Curtner of Cathedral City with collage, Nicholas Vicknair of Bend, Oregon presenting his unique resin paintings, Marie Barbera from Alta Loma, CA showing her Native American and Wildlife bronze sculptures.
The artwork that will be shown includes paintings in acrylic, oil, and watercolor, clay, glass, jewelry, photography, mixed media, sculpture, wood, and more. All artwork is available for purchase. Come for the art and stay for dinner at the many restaurants that are located at The River, such as Acqua California Bistro, Babe's BBQ, Cheesecake Factory, and The Yardhouse.
The Desert Art Festival was originally located in Palm Springs, at Frances Stevens Park. After 32 years, the event moved to Rancho Mirage. The art festival was held in March of 2020 and is returning for this Thanksgiving Weekend. The event will be held in the parking lot at the corner of Rancho Las Palmas Drive and Bob Hope Drive. Admission and parking are free.
The hours of the event are from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 26 - 28, 2021. The art show is produced by West Coast Artists. For more information visit the website at WestCoastArtists.com or call 818-813-4478.
